It’s taken me 2 days to go through all my images from 2013 and put together a post. I think I underestimated how much I shot last year- and after looking at all my images, I decided I needed to break 2013 into sections so people didn’t need an hour to go through one post.
Families. Still my favorite to photograph out of anything. The love, laughter, madness- I love it all. Maybe I love taking family photos so much because my family only had one professional session done when I was a baby- when my mom was sick. She made my sisters and I matching outfits, which are really cute. She was an incredible seamstress and quilter and I am so thankful that she pushed to have a professional family photo taken of us before she was taken from us. I can’t stress enough the importance of photos in our lives- whether it’s a special occasion or just something fun to do when everyone is together. The older we get, the harder it is to have everyone in one place, so take advantage of every opportunity to have photos taken with your loved ones. Whether you have a new baby, big kids, little kids, sisters, grandparents, or just want photos with your dog- I wanna be there to capture it!
These images hold a giant piece of my heart and I’m so happy to share some of my favorites from last year- some images are old- some you’ve never seen! Enjoy:
And here’s mine (I’m the baby):
I can’t thank each and every family who welcomed me into their home and hearts enough for allowing me to document them. Looking back at these images, it’s hard not to see a whole lotta love. I look forward to photographing you all in the future and to all new families looking at this: I’d love to have the opportunity to photograph your family this year! Inquire at firstname.lastname@example.org. New clients get $50 off their first session with me!
Stay tuned for my best of weddings and travel from last year! 🙂
