There’s something special about the place that you grew up. Even if you’ve moved away like I have, I still have so much joy going back.
Nebraska, The Good Life.
Monica and Micah are not only incredibly easy to photograph, but just the sweetest couple and so down to earth. Monica threw this wedding together so quick. Since Micah is in the Army, they didn’t know what date it was going to be until a few months before. I remember talking with her via email back and forth when I was traveling in South America last year and everything she told me about her day I just fell in love with. The small town of Cortland in Nebraska is where the wedding was held and it was the perfect setting. They got married at St. James Church and then had their reception set up in the back of it- which was an OPEN FIELD. String lights, hay bails, and a mixture of vintage and antique goods she got from some estate sales completed the dreamy scene.
Monica is a photographer herself, so it was an honor to get to be the photographer at her wedding! Make sure to check out her work HERE.
The light this day was nothing short of perfect and from the fields to the tin sheds it was such an awesome place to photograph a wedding! So excited to FINALLY share this one with you! 🙂
