I’m not going to lie- I have been probably the most excited about this wedding this year. I think maybe it’s because they were my first couple to book with me in 2014, or maybe it’s because we’ve become such close friends- I mean really- multiple dinners and hang outs before the wedding- or maybe it’s because I had the most fun I’ve ever had on an engagement session (that might have something to do with the mimosas Chris and Kirsten brought along.) Actually I think I know what it is- it’s their LOVE for each other. It just lights you up and brings tears to your eyes and pain in your stomach laughter. I’m actually sitting here tearing up as I write this because this couple right here is why I do what I do with my life. I’ve never had clients bring me so much joy. They honestly hugged Stephanie and I every time we finished a portrait session on their wedding day. We both felt the love and I’m so thankful for that.
They both have an energy that just makes you so happy! The most emotional part of the day for me is when Chris walked to the ocean to let some flowers go in honor of his mom who has passed. As many of you know, my mom passed when I was just 15 months old, so this especially hit home. They are surrounded by so many people that adore them and it’s just what life is all about. Love, laughter, and the people that matter the most.
I’m OVER THE MOON to share a little sneak peek with you guys. It’s been killing me that I’ve been so busy lately with wedding season in full swing that I haven’t shared more sooner (even though the wedding was only on Saturday.) Thanks again Kirsten and Chris for trusting me, laughing with me, and taking ridiculous photos of me along the way. XOXO
A big THANK YOU to Stephanie for being not only an incredible best friend to me, but sidekick on this wonderful weekend. There’s no one else I would’ve wanted by my side for this wedding. Love you!
Oh and that engagement session I was telling you about of them- yeah you can see that HERE.
