2015 was my first year full time with my business. 20 couples total, which was my goal for the year. I traveled, I grew, and I created some of my best work to date. I narrowed this down from 352 images to 156 out of thousands. I feel strongly about the images I selected below and used these three words to help guide me along the way: Unique. Emotional. Strong. I focused on moments and feeling and tried really hard to not include any filler images. It’s taken me a few weeks of work and some help and curating from Jon Almeda of One Love Photo. (Thanks for the help, friend!) I’m really PROUD of what I accomplished this past year and I’m so thrilled to be creating new work in a new city this year. New York, show me what you got! My girl, Stephanie Dolen was my second shooter extraordinaire and traveled with me to a few weddings and kept me focused, calm, and FED. She’s one of my best friends in the whole world and is in my opinion, the best person to have by my side on a wedding day when I need someone! Thanks for seriously being the best. <3
Also Cara Robbins came out and helped me with a wedding this year and absolutely dominated! I was so busy this past year that I didn’t take on as many second shooting gigs. I wanted to give a shout out to Benj Haisch and Jenny Jimenez for having me along on some weddings, which a few images from those are sprinkled throughout this post.
2015 was a huge year of travel! Spain, Bahamas, Iceland, Hawaii, Minneapolis, Nebraska, New York, New Zealand, Fiji, St. Louis. I moved across the country from Seattle to New York to follow a curiosity and dream of living in NYC with the incredible help of my dad. (More on that big move HERE)
I also want to thank all my couples for allowing me to experiment, experience and create at their weddings. I’m so excited to be living in New York and hope that 2016 brings lots of documenting on the East Coast. I’m now booking for 2016, so if you’re wedding is out East, please get in touch! I’m also traveling for weddings and shoots this year, so no matter where you’re located, drop me a line and let’s explore!
So far on my 2016 calendar I have Colombia, Paris, California, Denver and Seattle!
